Cats have the ability to see in very bright light. Therefore, the cat has the iris of the eye that form a gap that would constrict when exposed to excessive light. Thus, these animals can still see the very bright light. Though, narrowing iris also resulted in the narrowing of the field of view of a cat. In addition, cats also have an organ called the tapetum lucidum. This organ whose role is to help the cats can see in an environment that has little light or dark areas. Therefore, cats often hunt prey in the dark to help hide them, especially black cats.
